Since a breakout performance at the United States Disc Golf Championship in 2017, Prodigy Disc Core Team member Kevin Jones has been a constant lead card and podium presence on the professional disc golf tour.
A multi-time Elite Series winner (2019 Idlewild Open, 2020 Green Mountain Championship), Jones captured the largest prize in disc golf history at the time with a victory at the 2020 Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina. He’s also picked up big wins in Estonia and Mexico. Jones is an Arkansas native, former collegiate football player, music producer and DJ, and now resides in Charlotte during the offseason.
Off the tee, Jones is one of the farthest throwers on tour and won the Long Drive competition at the 2018 PDGA Professional World Championship. His prowess from Circle 2 has also earned him the “Jump Putt Jones” moniker. The discs Jones carries in his bag vary from overstable drivers he only throws forehand, to touchy, understandable midranges and putters for approaches and wooded shots.
Jones’ own Prodigy Collabs Series discs are a staple in his lineup. The overstable Distortion approach disc, straight-flying Feedback fairway driver, and dependable Reverb distance driver each play an important role in Jones’ gameplan.
