The Prodigy Disc BP-1 V3 remains the standard-bearer for anyone looking to pick up a lightweight, durable large capacity disc golf bag at an extremely accessible price point. Along with its abundant space and water and tear-resistant Nylon Ripstop fabric, the BP-1 V3 now offers more personalization with an interchangeable Velcro patch and five color options.
The Velcro patch includes Prodigy branding but can be customized to add a personalized flair to your bag (not included) along with the all-new color array to help you stand out on the course. You can still fill up the main compartment with more 20+ discs and then put your favorite pair of putters in the front putter pocket, which now includes a sleek, debossed pull tab. There’s plenty of extra room in the large top pocket that can fit 4 putters or other accessories, and the expandable side pockets can be used for discs, snacks, towels, and even extra gear. The water-resistant zippers, magnetic easy access pockets, umbrella sleeve, and insulated 32 oz. bottle holders also provide extra convenience.

20 years as a single strap guy shoulder bag guy so this was a big "upgrade". I rarely play with more than 8-10 discs a round so this was a little bit of an impulse to jump up to such a big bag (Black Friday discount). My bag was a bit worn and there were things I never liked about it so I figured why not. I love not needing to dump all my discs into a duffle along with all my other practice discs for field work, everything fits in this thing. It's got ample storage for a big hoodie if you expand the side pockets. The front cover tucks neatly out of the way and velcros to the back wall with a simple push. Discs slide in easily but stay snug in the main compartment. Discs in the front putter pocket do not interfere with getting discs in and out of the main compartment the way I've seen on some smaller bags friends have. The top disc pocket being the full width of the bag is kind of odd as 2-3 discs just slosh around in it but I don't know what I'd design differently there and it's plenty of space to have a towel or other things in there with discs. Getting the personalized patch and having full height side pockets are the features that sold me on this pack over the BP2 which would probably be a better fit for my game. One gripe is the left shoulder strap always rolls/twists as I slide that second arm through if I put it on after normally shouldering my right side. I'm not sure if that's just a user error but don't feel like it happens with any of my hiking backpacks. My work around is throwing the whole bag over my head and putting it over that shoulder first more like putting on a messenger bag or something. Again, probably not a design error just something I'm getting used to coming from the shoulder bag world. Oh, the "handle" between the straps doesn't end up flat in your hand either. You kind of get the edge of all the fabric seam as the pressure point in your hand. Ok but really this is a 5 star review, LOL
I would buy this bag again, this is a really great bag. I purchased when it was on sale and couldn't be happier.
The BP-1 V3 is really big. It fits as many discs as the description says. The top and front putter pockets are really nice to separate those discs.
The side pockets are spacious too; they fit quite a few beers.
The bag comes without the supports installed; installing them can be tough. They have an installation video on the prodigy page.
Holds a great amount can fit 5 in the top pouch comfortably and doesn’t affect the main carriage. Side pouches fit one comfortably each just overall a great bag w customization name tag!!
I originally ordered this bag from an online retailer and the bag came with a ripped zipper on the inside of the bag where the panels insert. I reached out and called prodigy customer service to inquire about the warranty and they were incredibly helpful and quick. I messaged with them over email the next day, their response time was extremely impressive for such a large company. After emailing a bit they were able to ship me my new bag within the week. My new bag is everything I wanted, this bag has plenty of space for TONS of discs, so much storage for towels and jackets and retrievers and everything. Build quality (on the second one at least) was super solid and the bag feels really quality. Huge props to prodigy and their customer service for being amazing. Five stars every day of the week!
I literally have zero complaints have had the bad 2 months now and haven't had to complain about any little thing
Ordered this bag for my nephew and he loves it
Amazing bag! The ability to carry everything I need is nice. A little tough to set up but holds up nice and is my favorite bag I've had so far!
Nice bag with plenty of space for all your accessories and hydration needs. Good amount of disc space. Love that I can personalize with my name. Only downside is putting in the supports, a little frustrating.
Did some research and narrowed it down to 2, ultimately the specs on the BP1-V3 coupled with price made it an easy decision, already used it on a couple of rounds and I am ABSOLUTELY ecstatic with my choice, oh, totally worth the extra 20 to personalize with your name, BEST BAG
