Description

The Prodigy Disc BP-1 V3 remains the standard-bearer for anyone looking to pick up a lightweight, durable large capacity disc golf bag at an extremely accessible price point. Along with its abundant space and water and tear-resistant Nylon Ripstop fabric, the BP-1 V3 now offers more personalization with an interchangeable patch and five color options.

The patch includes Prodigy branding but can be customized to add a personalized flair to your bag (not included) along with the all-new color array to help you stand out on the course. You can still fill up the main compartment with more 20+ discs and then put your favorite pair of putters in the front putter pocket, which now includes a sleek, debossed pull tab. There's plenty of extra room in the large top pocket that can fit 4 putters or other accessories, and the expandable side pockets can be used for discs, snacks, towels, and even extra gear. The water-resistant zippers, magnetic easy access pockets, umbrella sleeve, and insulated 32 oz. bottle holders also provide extra convenience.

    Great value, great build

I’ve been using this bag for a few months now and I love how much it has to offer. Price is very reasonable. Generous number of pockets and compartments for discs, accessories, snacks, water bottles, phones, etc. And it’s comfortable. Highly recommend.

Great bag for a great price

The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because of the frustrating assembly. Other than that it is great! They even replaced my bad when the stitching in the shoulder straps broke.

    Great Bag

I got this bag because my last bag couldn't stand on its own. I've played a couple rounds with it so far and it has just been an amazing bag with high quality. Feels hand made and keeps discs nice and snug. I will say the claim that it can hold 40 discs while almost true is not quite accurate if you have a lot of thicker discs like putters and midranges. However, I was still able to fit around 33 discs with about half of them being P2s and other midranges. I couldn't be happier with this bag and the custom velcro patches are also pretty sick.

Not on par to other Prodigy products.

Attached are photos of how the item that was sent to me looks. Prodigy makes up about 50% of my bag and with how highly recommended the bag was I went for it. Unfortunately the bag did not meet expectations. The BP2V3 is overall better compared to what I got. Immediately I noticed the lack of dividers so I emailed asking about them since people online were saying they got some in their bag. Missing dividers is a big downside to me since I like keeping them in order and the BP2 had it. The capacity is awesome but... padding is lacking for the capacity and the stitching is concerning in certain areas like the bottom of mine and the outer pocket. At this point I am emailing support to request a refund vs a replacement and I will keep the BP2 until some of these issues are addressed.

    Big Bag

This thing is huge with plenty of space. I can fit about 30 discs in it easily. I carry mostly putters and mids since my home course is short.

High quality, very versatile with good design

20 years as a single strap guy shoulder bag guy so this was a big "upgrade". I rarely play with more than 8-10 discs a round so this was a little bit of an impulse to jump up to such a big bag (Black Friday discount). My bag was a bit worn and there were things I never liked about it so I figured why not. I love not needing to dump all my discs into a duffle along with all my other practice discs for field work, everything fits in this thing. It's got ample storage for a big hoodie if you expand the side pockets. The front cover tucks neatly out of the way and velcros to the back wall with a simple push. Discs slide in easily but stay snug in the main compartment. Discs in the front putter pocket do not interfere with getting discs in and out of the main compartment the way I've seen on some smaller bags friends have. The top disc pocket being the full width of the bag is kind of odd as 2-3 discs just slosh around in it but I don't know what I'd design differently there and it's plenty of space to have a towel or other things in there with discs. Getting the personalized patch and having full height side pockets are the features that sold me on this pack over the BP2 which would probably be a better fit for my game. One gripe is the left shoulder strap always rolls/twists as I slide that second arm through if I put it on after normally shouldering my right side. I'm not sure if that's just a user error but don't feel like it happens with any of my hiking backpacks. My work around is throwing the whole bag over my head and putting it over that shoulder first more like putting on a messenger bag or something. Again, probably not a design error just something I'm getting used to coming from the shoulder bag world. Oh, the "handle" between the straps doesn't end up flat in your hand either. You kind of get the edge of all the fabric seam as the pressure point in your hand. Ok but really this is a 5 star review, LOL

    PRODIGY BP-1 V3 BACKPACK

I would buy this bag again, this is a really great bag. I purchased when it was on sale and couldn't be happier.
The BP-1 V3 is really big. It fits as many discs as the description says. The top and front putter pockets are really nice to separate those discs.
The side pockets are spacious too; they fit quite a few beers.
The bag comes without the supports installed; installing them can be tough. They have an installation video on the prodigy page.
