Prodigy Disc Flight & Plastic Information
The Prodigy Disc naming system is designed to help players figure out what disc they need for each shot quickly and easily. The letter in the model name represents the type of disc. For example, the 'M' in M4 stands for Midrange Disc. The number in the model name represents the stability of the flight path. Our models range from 1 to 7 - '1' being the most overstable and '7' being the most understable. Therefore, the "4" in M4 means that it falls in the middle of our stability rating, making it a slightly understable, depending on the model range in that series.

200 Plastic is great for entry-level players looking to get into the game, as well as experienced players who love to fine-tune their discs by working them in just the way they like. The feel of 200 Plastic brings a new dimension to our line-up, as it’s similar to our 300 plastic but less tacky.

300 Plastic
300 Plastic has been developed for optimum feel and grip for putters, approach discs, and midrange discs, and would be considered our baseline plastic. The blend of materials is durable enough to take a solid impact and maintain its flight characteristics while still having the ability to be broken in with regular use.

Stiffness: 4.0 / 5.0
Grip: 5.0 / 5.0
300 Soft Plastic
Based on popular feedback for a soft, flexible, and grippy plastic, we have developed our 300 Soft Plastic blend. It is a less firm version of our popular 300 Plastic, and maintains the same great qualities, such as being durable enough to withstand solid impact while also being able to break in over time. It is a great option for players who like a flexible feel to go with a grippy base plastic.

300 Firm Plastic
300 Firm Plastic (formerly 350G Plastic) is a firmer blend of the 300 Plastic for those who like the grippy properties but in a stiffer plastic. Its unique tacky feel and increased stiffness puts it ahead of all base-line resin available on the market today. It was developed in a collaborative effort by World Champions, Major Champions and National Tour Champions looking for discs that will break in perfectly over time. The 300 Firm Plastic retains grip even in wet conditions.

400 Plastic is a premium blend of materials that is extremely durable and gives the thrower an impeccable grip, even when it is wet. It is the most popular Prodigy plastic across the entire lineup of discs. While 400 Plastic is often known for its translucent properties, which catch the sunlight well for pronounced colors in the daytime, it can also be more opaque. 400 plastic has a stiff rim and more “pop” when you flex the center of the disc.

Stiffness: 3.0 / 5.0
Grip: 3.0 / 5.0
AIR Plastic
AIR Plastic is a premium blend based on our revolutionary 400 Plastic base resin and has been modified to create durable, lightweight discs. The grip, feel, and performance of AIR plastic produce the highest-quality discs in lower weights on the market.
Lightweight discs in AIR plastic are engineered for the same shot performance as their heavier counterparts, with added glide for effortless and easy distance. Some of the best disc golf discs for beginners are lightweight, but more experienced players will also see the benefit and utility of throwing discs in a lower weight.
