Jones Torches Middle Rounds to Capture GMC Title, Allen Ties for Third in FPO - Prodigy Disc

Kevin Jones made a career statement, outpacing a fully loaded field at the Green Mountain Championship to claim his second Disc Golf Pro Tour win. He started six strokes off the lead after round one and went to work from there.

Jones brushed off a streak of five pars to start the second round, finishing up with a 1081-rated 10-under par 53, which was good for the hot round of the day. That erased any deficit and catapulted Jones into the lead by one.

He improved even further in round three by tying the course record of 13-under at Brewster Ridge, a six shot improvement from the first round. It was a 1091-rated, bogey-free effort that included an eight hole birdie streak to start the day, and by the time he finished on 18, his lead had grown to six ahead of the final round.

Back on Fox Run Meadows, a shaky start saw his lead cut in half, but a steady performance on the back portion of the course didn't allow anyone to get closer than three strokes. He wrapped up with six birdies on the last 11 holes while taking no bogeys after having two in the first seven holes. It was a signature moment after appearing on several DGPT lead cards and collecting two A-Tier wins since the June restart.

Chris Dickerson did not have his best weekend, but it was still a solid performance for the Tennessee pro. He made the lead card after round one and was able to stay inside the top-15 with a solo 13th place finish.

Catrina Allen also continued to be a mainstay at the top of the leaderboard with her tied for third place finish. Allen jumped up three spots onto the lead card in round two, where she stayed for the remainder of the weekend. She has yet to finish outside of sixth in any event and has found the podium in 10 of 12 events this season.

Heather Young also continues to impress on tour, finishing in a tie for sixth. She climbed up three spots on the final day to do so. Young continues to be able to lean on her putter to get the job done with an 88 percent from Circle 1x -- good for first in the field.

Leiviska Collects Wisconsin Win, Robinson Tops Solid Showing at Southern Nationals Championship

Cale Leiviska got back to his winning ways in Lac du Flambeau, Wisc., at the 26th Northwoods Open. Leiviska opened up with a one stroke advantage in the first round. He then matched his score to tie for the hot round again in the second round to hold it down for a two stroke win. He wrapped up with a 30-under par 132 total. Mitch Privette took third and Ben Kroll finished in 15th.

Ezra Robinson led a host of Prodigy players in the top-15 at the Southern Nationals Disc Golf Championships. Robinson started six strokes back after the first round, and was able to chip away.

He started the climb with an 11-under second round, which was good for the hot score and brought him within three shots of the lead. Another 11-under performance in round three brought him well within stroking distance, looking up at just two competitors one stroke ahead.

Robinson was able to complete the comeback with a stellar final nine, in which he finished with the hot score by three strokes. That put the finishing touches on a 29-under 178 total, which was good for a two stroke win.

Matt Orum finished in solo second, which is the third time he has finished first or second in as many weeks. Orum claimed the lead multiple times during the tournament, including after the third round going into the final nine. Cameron Colglazier finished in sixth, while Austin Lytle and Andrew Montgomery shared ninth place to round out the top-10. Bryson James, Logan Weiss, and Dylan Holt also finished inside the top-15 of a deep field. Mike Brown added a second place showing in Pro Masters 40+.
