Both Catrina Allen and Chris Dickerson fell just short of winning the Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship to end the touring season, but they were back on the tournament scene last weekend, each picking up a win at the 2020 Myrtle Beach Open.
Kevin Jones emerged as the champion in MPO after a heavyweight clash with teammate and newly minted United States Disc Golf Champion Chris Dickerson that came down to the very last hole. Catrina Allen was in it until the very end in FPO, as well, coming in third.
Chris Dickerson has been on the doorstep of a big win all season long, so he went ahead and crossed the threshold at the biggest event of the year. Dickerson battled the elements to conquer the 2020 United States Disc Golf Championship.
Catrina Allen dropped an 11-under par 55 in her final round at the Play It Again Sports Jonesboro Open to take over second place. The round was her best of the weekend and netted a 1019 unofficial rating.
Alden Harris credited a back nine bounce back in each of the final two rounds for helping him secure his first A-Tier win at the Music City Open. Harris' triumph in Nashville, Tenn., did not come easy, as Chris Dickerson finished just one stroke back after a strong comeback bid. Catrina Allen also finished second in FPO.
Chris Dickerson is staying fresh in the pair of weeks ahead of the Disc Golf Pro Tour's final regular season event at the Jonesboro Open. Dickerson made his way to Madisonville, Ky., to win the 12th Annual Madisonville Open, one of several A-Tiers on the weekend slate.
