Luke Humphries joined the Prodigy Disc Team in 2020 after a successful amateur career, in which he captured the 2018 PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Championship and was the runner-up in the 2018 United States Amateur Disc Golf Championship. Luke is also well-known as a disc golf media personality, hosting the OTB Skins series on GK Pro alongside his trusty canine companion, Hogan.
On the course, Luke became the first American to win a European Pro Tour event at the 2023 Järva Open - Powered by Prodigy in July in Sweden, on one of the world's highest-rated and most beloved courses.
“My favorite release angle is a flat angle. It works well for low ceilings and most wind conditions, as I developed it in Kansas and in Texas," Luke explains. ”When I'm picking out the discs in my bag, I'm looking for flat release discs that still have some good glide to them; not necessarily super hyzer-flips like Kevin Jones, or big anhyzers like Gannon Buhr. My favorite line is a flat line, and these discs are set up for me and my style of throwing."
