Team Prodigy Hauls in Five Wins Across Three A-Tiers

Competitive play has slowly returned over the past few weeks, but normality felt even closer last weekend with three A-Tiers on the slate. Team Prodigy had winners at all three while sweeping MPO and FPO at two of them.

Catrina Allen and Kevin Jones took wins at The Majestic in East Bethel, Minn., Heather Young and Chris Dickerson took the top spots at The Tennessee State Disc Golf Championships in Morristown, Tenn., and Cameron Colglazier won at the 27th Annual City of Mobile Championships in Alabama.

For Jones, it was his third tournament win in as many weeks, winning twice in Arkansas before making the trek to Minnesota. He was the Majestic's clubhouse leader after round one and left little doubt about his seven stroke win in round two. He posted a bogey-free 13-under par 76 on the treacherous Blue Ribbon Pines track for a 24-under 154 total.

Luke Humphries joined Jones on the podium in tying for third, and Cale Leiviska finished in a fifth place tie. Ben Kroll added another top-10 finish with his tie for 7th.

Allen charged out of the gates to gain an eight stroke advantage after the first round and held it down for her fourth win of the year. In her 9-over 187 total, she showed little signs of rust off the tee, dominating the field in fairway hits, circle 1 in regulation and circle 2 in regulation. She was 28 percentage points clear in fairway hits and circle 2 in regulation and 16 percentage points ahead in circle one in regulation.

Dickerson's Tennessee state title was his fourth in a row at the event and ninth in a row in 2020, with two of those coming at flex starts. It was a wire-to-wire win for the Volunteer State native who won by ten throws when it was all said and done. He bookended the tournament with a 17-down 52 in the first round and a 1075-rated 19-down 43 in the third. He sealed his 48-under 154 total with two eagles on the final two holes.

Young took a bit longer to climb to the top spot, but did so in convincing fashion. She found herself six strokes back after the first round and cut it to just one at the end of the second before taking off. She tossed an 11-under 51 in the final round, which vaulted her to an eight stroke win. Young totaled a 12-under 190 and was one of just three FPO competitors to finish under par. She was also the only one to shoot even or better in all three rounds.

Billy Ray Osborn won the Pro Masters 55+ Division and Amanda Young took town Advanced Women.

Cameron Colglazier capped off the weekend of wins, edging out teammate Matt Orum by one stroke. The Alabama duo traded hot rounds throughout the three round event, with Colglazier's 18-under 166 total being the winning number. It marked his third win of the season.

Orum led after round one and couldn't quite complete the comeback in the third round for the second place finish. Tanner Girouard and Michael Gibney added fourth place finishes, while Sam Lee finished in a tie for sixth.
