Like a Swiss Army knife, the utility of the D Model S is endless, because of its stable flight characteristics. Thrown with power, this disc will ride a slow turn before having a soft fade. Players with less power, or throwing it with more finesse, will get a straighter flight out of the disc before it softly fades out. Whether it's a long gliding hyzer, a powerful hyzer flip, or a beautifully shaped S line, the D Model S can do it all.

I typically use heavier drivers that are understable (D4, X5), but I recently bought a BG D Model S at 166g. I absolutely love that disc. It's a longer, faster F Model S I can throw down a tunnel, high over trees, and know I can control the flight and the finish. The D Model S, for me, has a 10-15' skip left on the end of the flight so I use it to get around corners. The rim depth is perfect to get a little extra grip and snap on the disc. At 166g, I can throw is on hyzer and watch it flip to flat, glide, then come back left to finish. I carry a BG for straight and hyzer-flips and a DF in 174g for overstable and forehand shots. No need to carry multiple molds when DmS in different plastics and weights will do it all. If you haven't try them out...I think you'll like them. I just ordered 2 more yesterday (same weight class) to serve as backups.
Didn't like at all!
I've only gotten field work in with this disc but already it's a staple. It doesn't fade as hard as a D2, or any of the D series drivers really, but it doesn't flip as easily either. It can chew up distance without a big flex or a hard finish, so it can be thrown on much tighter lines. Can't wait to try it on some wooded Maine courses!
Wonderful overstable disc. Perfect huge headwinds and long hook shots
