Prodigy Welcomes NHL Goalie, Vancouver Canucks’ Casey DeSmith to the Team
As the brand that is connecting major league fandom with disc golf, Prodigy Disc is proud to announce the newest signing to its Team roster – Casey DeSmith, National Hockey League veteran and active disc golfer.
Casey DeSmith is set to bring his multi-sport athleticism, competitive spirit, dedication, and passion to the disc golf community as he joins Prodigy's elite roster of athletes. DeSmith currently plays goalie for the Vancouver Canucks, having joined the team before the 2023-2024 season after five seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins. This is the first sponsorship of an athlete or public figure outside of disc golf for Prodigy, and there couldn’t be a better person to start the partnership.

Casey DeSmith, is an avid disc golf player - PDGA #101294 - and appeared in numerous disc golf videos online, including a Disc Golf Pro Tour Pro-Am event, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership.

As part of Casey DeSmith’s agreement with Prodigy, the company will facilitate a disc golf event in Vancouver to support a local charity, as well as collaborate on media projects and special edition disc golf products.
The first product, which is available for pre-order today on ProdigyDisc.com and is a beloved disc that Casey DeSmith also instantly loved the flight of - the M4 midrange. It will be produced in black 500 Glimmer plastic featuring the fan-favorite NHL Vintage Hockey primary mark of the Canucks introduced in 1978, more commonly referred to as the “Flying Skate.”
Canada's largest disc golf retailer, Ace Runners, located just outside Vancouver in Langley, British Columbia, will have the exclusive Canadian retail release for the NHL Vintage Hockey Vancouver Canucks M4.
Prodigy Disc became an official licensee with the NHL in 2023, producing and marketing an exclusive range of licensed disc golf products worldwide featuring all 32 Teams with their various marks (primary, word, secondary, uniform), the NHL Shield, and special designs including the Stanley Cup, various NHL Series events, mascots, and more.
