Description

We are introducing our first shuriken stamp, modeled after the manji style of the famed Japanese throwing stars. Manji refers to shuriken with its (generally four) corners hooked outward.

This gives the FX-2 in 400 Spectrum Plastic a sharp look and is a great opportunity to grab the first release of this stamp on the Prodigy Shop!

The Prodigy Disc FX-2 packs a punch in our fairway lineup, bringing speed to its class as it fits in between our F Series and H Series. Created in collaboration with 2-time Disc Golf Pro Tour Champion Chris Dickerson, the FX-2 is overstable with dimensions specific to Chris’ desires in a disc. The FX-2 has a profile that provides a comfortable feel for both backhand and sidearm throwers. Crank on it as hard as you want and get a fast, straight flight with a medium finish or scale back the power for controlled hyzers. No matter how you throw it, you’ll be surprised how far it flies. Not to mention, it’s Robot Chicken approved. The FX-2 brings a new brand of fairway driver to the table with more to come.

400 Plastic is a premium blend of material that is extremely durable. The unique blend of plastics feels as good as it looks and will be able to be broken in over time. This tour quality plastic gives the thrower impeccable grip, even when it is wet.

Won't but still stable

If you like gummy, this is your disc has more turn and glide, than my Dickerson 750.

Beautiful and Overstable

350' thrower here. Reviewing the 400 spectrum plastic.

First off, this is one beautiful disc. I love the plastic and the stamp. As others have commented, this is also a very overstable disc. It's definitely more stable than my beat-in F1 in 400. I like the feel of it in my hand, and I find myself reaching for this when I want to flex a 300-350 foot shot. Plays great in the wind, too.

Not only was I amazed by the color, but the flight plate of this disc feels wonderful in the hand. Only wish I had bought more than one lol

Great Disc

This disc feels good in the hand. The 400G plastic is more gummy than I expected (as others have commented) but this makes for better spike shots when you don't want the disc to have a ton of ground play. Love it so far and plan to keep on using it!

Whether it’s a wall hanger or a thrower it’s beautiful either way!
This disc is super reliable and the plastic blend feels great with awesome texture, great grip.

Upshot Gem

The FX-S flies with a bit less Glide than the F2 and has the same ultra predictable Fade for Hyzer Upshots it cannot be beat. Rarely does it glide past the basket and give you that tester putt that we all detest so much, something nice about picking up a disc setting right under the Basket!

Surprising

I definitely agree that I was not expecting such a soft plastic. I came into purchasing this for straight forehands but it is a GREAT disc for big spikes that you need to not move once they hit the ground. Has a great flight and feels great in the hand.

A little too soft

I like a nice feel disc but it almost feels like the flight plate is too thin on these discs because you cant grip them hard without them misshaping like a sss floppy putter. Nice flight path and cool colors though. Really wish they would have some cooler more intricate stamps though.

Unexpected

I read a bunch of reviews about this disc and how it was “sharp” or “uncomfortable” in the hand. I an here to say that WAS NOT my experience. This disc replaced my F2 that was just a bit too seasoned and began to flip on me a bit. The extra beefiness of the FX2 fits perfect in my bag. In the hand this disc fits comfortably right into my backhand grip and gives rim support for my forehands. I will be grabbing more of these asap.
