The D2 has been a must-have in the Prodigy lineup since its release as one of the furthest flying, reliable discs on the market. Now, the D2 Max will serve as a great compliment, touting the same reliability for maximum power drives while sporting a slightly shallower rim and slimmer profile for a comfortable grip so you always feel confident in your release.
With increased speed and glide, the D2 Max will serve as a go-to option for maximum distance shots that will push the boundaries of your power game. The D2 will still be produced to help continue to fight windy conditions and boom down the fairway alongside the D2 Max.

The Prodigy Disc D2 Max is a fast, overstable driver with slightly less stability than the D1 Max. The slightly shallower rim and flatter top provide increased speed and glide compared to the original D2 and give the D2 Max a softer finish. The D2 will continue to be produced as a staple in our lineup, and its Max counterpart serves as a great compliment, adding another reliable driver for power throwers that will push the boundaries of their maximum distance.

400 Plastic is a premium blend of materials that is extremely durable and gives the thrower an impeccable grip, even when it is wet. It is the most popular Prodigy plastic across the entire lineup of discs. While 400 Plastic is often known for its translucent properties, which catch the sunlight well for pronounced colors in the daytime, it can also be more opaque. 400 plastic has a stiff rim and more “pop” when you flex the center of the disc.

Tony S. I did not expect to be able to turn this thing over the way I did. I figured that it would be stable or at least more stable than it was. I threw this on a big flat release and it turned into a roller. I started throwing it hard on a hyzer and it flew perfectly but finding the correct release angle took some time. Great disc, just a little more understandable than I thought.

Rick D. This disc has become my go to forehand shot when I need a flat penetrating shot. The shallow lip contributes to a clean release and with my intermediate arm speed (50mph) I can throw a slight turnover that will finish with a nice fade or with a slight hyzer that will flip to flat and finish right. The 400 plastic has been my favorite from day one. Super nice feel, great grip. Love this disc.

Eric I like the think profile of the max series, and these d2 have a more stable finish than earlier runs. Great for hyzers and flex shots.
