TAKE WILL SCHUSTERICK’S SIGNATURE 750 SPECTRUM MX-3 FOR A SPIN OCTOBER 10
The United States Disc Golf Championship remains one of the most revered events of the disc golf season, with many players and fans alike looking forward to an exciting week. Will Schusterick knows the significance of the USDGC well, winning it three times -- once as the youngest champion in the tournament’s history -- during his decorated career. With that, we are announcing his Special Edition Signature Series MX-3 in a 750 Spectrum plastic.
The MX-3 has quickly become one of the most popular discs in the Prodigy midrange lineup, handling power with finesse and glide. This is the first time it has been released in 750 plastic, which provides elite durability and grip.
“I chose the MX-3 because I love its ability to handle torque,” Will said. “It’s my favorite midrange for throwing straight, slow, right to left shots. The 750 plastic was a great choice because of its stiffness, especially in hot and humid conditions.”
Will added this particular run is a touch more overstable than the 400 MX-3. The discs will sport the unique, swirly color combos our Spectrum plastic is known for. They will also feature a fun stamp collaboration between Will and designer Sam Smith.
Will was born in the year of the monkey on the Chinese calendar and has always had an appreciation for Asian culture, architecture and design style. He is also probably spinning a disc any time you see him, so those elements along with his trip to China earlier this year helped influence the stamp idea.
“We helped host the first-ever PDGA event in China, and being part of that meant a lot personally,” Will said. “I think it helped grow the sport on a whole new level. I’m hoping to go back and help it grow even further.”
