With 25 wins in tow, Chris Dickerson headed to Jacksonville, Fla., for the Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship and emerged with a signature win to add to the 2018 collection.

Dickerson was the only player to survive all four rounds of the bracket-style tournament, going toe-to-toe with a two-time World Champion, two United States Champions and a fellow breakout star in the finals. He torched the course the first three rounds, setting the course record with a 13-under in the semifinals, before ultimately winning with a 4-under par 62 in difficult scoring conditions on the final day.

As winds howled, Dickerson employed a conservative, consistent approach. He managed to take only one bogey on the day against his five birdies.

He stepped up to hole 15’s tee with a two-stroke deficit and took birdies on 16 and 17 to head into the last hole of the tournament up by one. He secured the par he needed to pick up the biggest win of his career in the tour season’s last event.

Catrina Allen almost made it a Prodigy sweep, battling in the finals on the Open Women’s side. Allen took second as she was also locked in a tight battle which was decided on the 18th green. Her semifinal round tied for the hottest round of the tournament in the field and posted a 2-under 64 in the finals.

Allen displayed both driving and putting prowess, pacing the field in fairway hits and tying for the Circle 1 putting lead. She also led in Circle 2 in regulation.

Weekend Wins Include a Playoff for Colglazier, Orum

Cameron Colglazier and Matt Orum duked it out in Tyler, Texas at the Piney Woods Open. The pair of Alabama natives combined to average 1055 rated golf as tossed matching 32-under 154s after three rounds — seven throws ahead of their nearest competitor. Colglazier came out on top after a three-hole playoff.

Cale Leiviska picked up a win at the Bloomington Open in Minnesota. He broke a tie after round one by throwing the hot score in the second round to take the win by one. He finished with an 18-under 90 over the two rounds. Mitch Privette landed in third while Daniel Polk tied for seventh. Jakey Lingle got the win in Intermediate.

Dan Hastings kept his hot streak alive with his win at the 2018 Down East Players Cup in Greenville, N.C. Hastings finished eight strokes ahead of second with a 45-under 200 after four rounds. It’s  his second win in a row and fifth in his last six tournaments.

He finished four strokes ahead of second behind a 1047-rated second round. Matt Versola finished in fourth and Colin Forehand came in seventh.
