Chris Dickerson’s win streak is up to a dozen, and Matt Orum’s A-Tier win was his first representing Prodigy.
Dickerson’s reign over the Southeast continued this weekend, as he won the Golden Horseshoe Invitiational in Mineral, Va., his 12th win in a row dating back to 2017. The one-round tournament was a warmup for the Virginia Team Invitational (VTI) on the same property at Hawk’s Hollow.
Dickerson’s 13-under par 81 was 1052-rated and good enough for a three-stroke win. He then helped Team Lakefront win the VTI with Prodigy teammates Jason Light and Dan Hastings among others. Ricky Snapp participated in the Golden Horseshoe Open, finishing sixth.
Meanwhile, in Tallahassee, Fla., Matt Orum posted a 30-under par 213 to win The 2018 Open at Tallahassee. Cameron Colglazier finished in second, two strokes back, and Colin Forehand and Andrew Montgomery each had top-10 finishes.
Forehand finished eighth with a 14-under par 229, and Montgomery finished ninth a stroke behind.
Catrina Allen, Seppo Paju and Cameron Messerschmidt held their own on the tour scene, posting quality finishes at the Waco Annual Charity Open in Waco, Texas.
Allen finished sixth in Open Women, scoring an 8-over par 209. Paju lead the way for Prodigy in Open Men with a 26-under par 175 total landing him in 10th place.
Messerschmidt crested the four-digit rating mark for the first time in his career in the March 13th update, and followed it up by having all three rounds rated over 1000 in Waco. He finished in 17th place with a 23-under par 178.
Ragna Bygde Lewis dominated the March Mush in Laingsburg, Mich., which was her first tournament of the year. Bygde Lewis scored a 1-over par 127 to win by 12 strokes. Kirk Haggadone finished runner-up in Pro Masters 50+.
Cale Leiviska won the Rollin Ridge Series Opener #1 by a comfortable six stroke margin. His 1060-rated second round helped erase a two-stroke deficit on the way to a 21-under par 92 total.
Michael Habets added a win at the Vineyard Social 14 in Vineyard Haven, Mass., and Team Prodigy also got some wins in amateur divisions.
Protégé Harper Thompson won Advanced at the Crosstown Open - Nashville Disc Golf Store Tour Series, and Billy Ray Osborn won Amateur Masters 50+ at the event. Osborn also won the 2018 Edmonson County Open in the same division.
Jon McCain picked up an Advanced win in The 10th Annual Lucky 13.
